Patricia LaVoice, Author
My dearest friend Patricia LaVoice, mother of four (one daughter and three boys), has written a highly important children’s book about a sometimes difficult subject to broach with our young sons, called Helmets and Hoses. Why are some boys circumcised and others not? Having two boys of my own, I remember when this question came up with my sons and it required some careful conversation. Tricia’s children’s book provides a clear, modest, light-hearted approach to this common question.
Patricia's author bio:
Patricia LaVoice earned her BS degree in Applied Psychology from California State University, Long Beach and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from Fordham University. A stay at home mother, she also enjoys writing for children and adults. Her first book, Helmets and Hoses, Toes and Noses, was released by Windstorm Creative in Summer of 2008. Her second book, Pieces of My Mother is currently being reviewed for publication. She lives in Avon, CT with her husband and four children. Some of her other writings can be found at leezagibbons.com under Inspiration. Her latest book is WIshes for a mother's heart.
Madame Chocolat
My talented friend Madame Chocolat aka Hasty Torres is Beverly Hills’ personal “chocolatier.”
In her sumptuous store front factory, she creates delectably rich, hand crafted chocolates fresh every day. I can never decide which is sweeter, the chocolates or Madame Chocolat herself.
If you're not in the neighborhood, you can still enjoy these luscious treats by purchasing them online at Madame-Chocolat.com.

Monet's Palate
Monet's Palate® — “The Perfect Blend of Art and Good Tastes”®
The brainchild of Aileen Bordman, Monet's Palate is the online destination to discover and enjoy Claude Monet’s other passion — food. The site is based on the award-winning film, Monet’s Palate- A Gastronomic View from the Gardens of Giverny with Meryl Streep, Alice Waters, Roger Vergé, Daniel Boulud, Michel Richard and Joachim Pissarro. At the site you can visit their facebook page, peruse and buy the film, or go to The Palate Pantry which grows each day to buy wonderful food and drink like chocolates and wine produced according to Monet’s discriminating palates.

Maxine Picard
For years, I have called on photographier Maxine Picard to perfectly capture my events with excellent photographic memories. You see many of her photos here on this site. I know that at the end of any event, I'll have photos I can use, as well as well-captured memories.
Unfortunately, Maxine doesn't have a website. Her clients all come to her by word of mouth. But since I'm putting my word of mouth here on the web, I encourage you to contact Maxine with an email.
Marnita's Table
Marnita Schroedl is a social entrepreneur, co-founder of Marnita's table — an organization she formed to literally bring people to the table — to find solutions. Since 2002, she has brought over 7,000 people together for more than 140 focused conversations around a host of issues that matter to us all.
Every aspect of the organization is intentionally inclusive, regularly inviting a wide variety of participants to become a part of our community-building work. It provides leadership opportunities on a “bring-it” basis, meaning those identified as leaders or for leadership at Marnita's Table are those who stand up to lead and organize.

A Day In Her Shoes

Professional photographer Amy Friedman turned her photography into a series of fund-raisers for good by shooting women, all types of women, in their shoes. She has done multiple A Day In Her Shoes shoots and events.
A Day In My Shoes-Take Three rased money for a Los Angeles women's shelter. Next, Pups in Pumps set out to raise money for a animal shelter.
